Pre-Regististered class for youth ages 3-6yrs & 6-10yrs, Saturday & Sunday 11am- 12:30pm, Aug. 25-26th. Yoga can provide youth with essential life tools such as self-esteem and confidence, inner and outer strength, attention and concentration, and heightened awareness of both oneself and others.
Come play on your mat - begin with a vinyasa flow style class, build heat and get long, strong and lean. Then, ease deeper into your body in a relaxed, mindful yin-style practice. Not flexible? No problem! Great for anyone with stiff muscles and joints, or those looking to balance out higher impact activities. Strengthen your body, clear your mind. Come unwind. Learn the cultural aspects of a hand drum (Taywayagunn) during this two day workshop with Nathan Brass, Saulteux Native from the Key First Nation. Drawing on the teachings of the Medicine Wheel, Nathan will explore the spiritual significance, share how to develope an authentic emotional attachment, the physical creation & mental preparation of creating, caring for and properly utilizing a traditional hand drum.

A special 2 hour moon yin class with Harmony Shire Davison. The class will focus on balancing the body's fascia head to toe, wringing out the body, and creating space with breath. Join visiting artist Kristen Lewis for a memorable, joyful 3 days of dancing. The camp is segmented into 3 age groups: 4-6 year olds, 6-9 year olds, and 10-14 year olds. Kristen is an accomplished dance artist and experienced dance educator, with 7 years of teaching experience. She runs the Salt-Spring-based Children’s Dance Workshop. Kristen’s classes are fun, therapeutic, community-building experiences where students build core dance skills (technique, improvisation and dance-creation skills), in an environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, self-confidence and healthy body image.
Join Natasha Currah and other amazing women from our community for a slow moving yoga class, followed by personal journalling and an intimate conversation with tea and snacks.
