Elle Burke, RYT-200, Personal Trainer
Elle Burke began Yoga as a stress buster during her Business Degree at University in her homeland, Scotland, and has been a dedicated practitioner ever since.
“My practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully.”
Elle left a corporate career in international sales and marketing to move to Whistler with her partner to follow their dreams. This included embracing an active outdoor lifestyle, surrounding themselves with the beauty of nature, and doing work they loved. She knew Yoga had to be an integral part of that! Elle completed Yoga Alliance Certified RYT 200-hour Vinyasa flow training with Julia McCabe in Pemberton in 2015, and since moving to Bowen has been teaching a range of one to one and group classes at Nectar Yoga. Everyone especially loves her relaxation sessions, with that soothing Scots accent!
“In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing with a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help you thrive in life, by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, and my intention is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.”
Elle loves island life, taking part in everything from sea-hiking to the community choir, working part time as a landscape gardener, and enjoying weekend sailing, camping and canoe trips.
Her love of children has been developed over many years, with summer camps, youth volunteering, babysitting, Aspergers and autism youth support; all of which translates into fun and engaging sessions.
“I want kids and teens to get into yoga early to develop power, strength and self-acceptance. I can help them escape from the pressures of this busy, 24/7, social media driven world and find inner peace.
